| INTRODUCTION |
The story of Megilat Esther
is a story of the one of Judaism's personages,
Esther. It took place some 2300 years ago in the Oriental capital
of Ancient Persia, Sushan. Ahashverosh ruled over Persia, which was
then a kingdom of 127 countries.

In one of the times that Mordechai visited the
palace courtyard he heard two men plotting to kill the king. Mordechai
told Esther and Esther told the king. Ahashverosh arrested and
hanged the two men and the king's scribe wrote down the facts.

At the time, Haman was the King’s top advisor.
Everyone was ordered to bow to Haman. Mordechai refused to bow.

Esther became a favorite of King Ahashverosh,
and soon was chosen to be queen.
